No offense Curt but I have to agree with Shane, suburban sprawl and asphalt is a bit depressing I must say. I sure miss the meets at the lake and park. :)

I don't know the first thing that goes into planning an event, just hoping future events are somewhere else. :D

I will show up regardless of if I have the talon any more or not, and I do like the idea of finding a park or something a little better than an asphalt parking lot

Hmm, I'm a little surprised at this. I had at least 20 people tell me last year how much they liked having it in a parking lot as opposed to grass like at the museum. Its much easier to organize the cars.

Its also a lot harder to have it at a park and guarantee parking for 150+ cars and have electricitiy. Most parks, if you rent the shelter, there is no guarantee on the parking spots. If you want to walk around when you are at the Cookout, there is a park right behind the Middle School.

With the great responses I got last year having it at the Middle School, we'll be having it at a school for many years to come.

later,
Curt

So be it, as long as the people and cars have a place to get together I'll be there. :)

Nobody with DSM can commit this early, most cars will be broke and fixed ten times before then. From my experience most people will know a few days before if they will be able to make it.

I will be there though, on my bike (weather permitting).

just like last year when I pulled a all nighter to get my bro's engine built after I got the block back at 10 pm and had is car running and home at 5 am for a few hours of sleep. Byt the time we got there he had 30 miles on his engine
