I used DAS (dependable auto shippers) Worked great, way faster than I expected, they said it would be 2-3 weeks, it came in 6 days.

Just use escrow and a good shipping company and you really can't get screwed too bad.

you could always call the NYPD and see if they have an officer in there registry under that name.
