Dumb bitches like that (male and female in this case) are what give "street-racing" a bad name. Fuck that show...I'm out.

Yeah, the show was pretty dumb imo.

I love how they said to get to be "this fast" you need sponsorship. LOL, I think JET and Nash (and others) are much faster than them and they have done it all on their own.

Shows like this make me puke.

Guys I'm pretty sure the show showed him running an 8.1 not an 8.81. This would be like a 12.7 in the 1/4.

Dr. Charles is a Honda guy so he did what any honda owner does to go fast add NOS. It doesn't need to be said but you can get into the 12s easily w/o having to use 125shot.

Just because all this is installed doesnt garuntee a fast car. As any racer knows it comes down to driver or driver error. Another fact is he did kill an axle and when the car was taken back to the shop the axle somehow was hanging on by the boot and boot alone. On top of all the clowning we did, which is what made doing the show fun,we worked our asses off to install all these parts on a deadline while taking individual on camera interviews which took us away from actual work for three hours of the total build. I dont think most people can appreciate what it really took to put together 1. a car we really didnt like (Mitsubishi,we are not DSM fans nor had a choice in car or claim to be DSM tuners)and 2. do it in under a certain amount of time and have it filmed. With that being said.....editing.....editing played a huge part in what is really showed. Its Hollywood what can you expect? You actually believe the whole idea we were going to put Nitrous on the car after we found out what she had? We had the kit on order expecting to put it in the car anyway. The only difference is what HP shot were going to use. Hollywood played the biggest part in the way the show was made. Could it have been different and successfull? Sure, but do you want to watch a bunch of guys yelling at each other while they are wrenching......oh wait...thats American Chopper. Its already been done. They tried doing something different that the average Joe could understand. If the show runs again alot more people will have input into the way the scene is portrayed and changes will be made. Will everyone like it? Shit you cant please everyone. Give it up to Discovery Channel,Apexi,Autolink, all the tuners,Leila,Obie, all the people that donated parts and anyone else that had a hand in creating the show. So much negativity......no wonder this industry has such a hard time getting any major sponsership or coverage. Without all the drama it would be a show about 6 guys 2 girls and two cars.

 Hell, somebody cry me a river!

Blame who ever, or what ever you want. But the cars should have been faster with all those parts on them. If they needed more tuning or more practice time, they should have had it. So I guess the cars set new world records and "Hollywood" made them look slow. :razz2:

Hey guys,

I just watched the show. I recorded it to my PC. Here is a screen shot of there times:
http://www.mn3s.org/local-disk0.jpg

Heck an 8.1 in the 1/8 mile isn't that bad. Best I've ever run is a 8.29. That 8.1 should be good for mid 12s. Thats not bad considering he only had one shakedown run. Kudos to Obie. :toast:

I'll admit, the show was lame, but still mildly entertaining.

The civic had a pretty good trap speed on that 1/8th mile. It may have been pretty close if they raced a full 1/4. Too bad the driver was a bit of an idiot. I like when she asks him what car do you drive and he replies "I drive a Talon" and she goes "psshht, Talon" likes its a weak car compared to her civic.

BTW, the civic driver claims she is part of club MILF. WTF ever!

The quote from the tuner was from honda-tech. They are talking some mad shit about dsms over there.
