I claimed 1 last year and I had to pay ftl, so this year I calaimed 0 and I am hopeing to about 1 grand to go towards wheels. I made alot more this year than last year, so it was smarter to claim 0. I would rather claim 0 and save an extra 5 dollars, that way I get alot more back and save some...cut back on eating out and your good to go...

I am excited as this is the first year my parents are not claiming me. Yes, I am well aware... So, I should get a nice tax return this year. In the past, due to thier income, I have always allowed them to claim me. Figured it was the least I could do for them, since they have supported me for 15-20 years.

As for the extra money, savings. I already have a nice 401k setup, but I wanna have a nice account on the side as well. I just bought a new car, so thats covered. I am excited for tax time this year!

Nothing too wild. 07 Mazda3 SP23. I was gonna go for the MS3 but I just didnt want all the addtional costs. Higher sitcker price, higher insurance, premium gas...blah blah. The car is nice though, the bigger engine, 5 spd, mp3 port, etc. Plus, I was able to get special s-plan pricing, just over invoice.

Just go to irs.gov and look at either the Pub 17 or the 1040 instructions should also have the table. Visit MN Rev site for MN taxes.

Damn I'm getting back a lot more than I planned, ~$1900. Guess I didn't plan real well this year, but I think a lot of it had to do with graduating college and starting a career.
