So Jana and I headed over to the MOA to pick up her wedding dress. Nice relaxing night out after work. After we where finished we headed over to Chevys for some grub. I wuv my Chevys chicken fajitas!

Well we order up the food, each just grab a soda for the drink and snack on an app. The main course comes and I dish up as normal. I even cut the chicken into smaller slices since the shit comes nice and thick.

First bite in and I feel a piece not wanting to go down. Then all of a sudden I can't breath cause I'm starting to panic as I start to choke on the chicken (yeah yeah, funny ha ha). A few weeks earlier Jana and I had a conversation about how she didn't know the himlech (sp?), but I do know how to do it. Well shit, that was the first thing I thought of. So i spit out what I could, stood up in Chevys, and clapped my fucking hands loud as I could and pointed to my throat. A guy in a booth across from us ran over, and started the himlech shit. It worked to clear that out and made me hurl up all the shit lodged in my throat.

This was by far the scariest thing I have ever had to experiance. I actualy am having a bit of a tough time just writing all of it out. It was just an experiance I wish on no one obviously and makes me wonder what might of happened if the right person had not been there.

Jana was obviously histarical though the whole thing and I was really out of it for a bit. Cold sweats where instant and adrenaline was roll'n.

Everyone there was great in getting me comfortable again. They came and cleaned up for us, got me a warm towel to use, got me some fresh water and pop to wash items down to and even sent us off with some gift certs for next time. I think I thanked the guy with his family that helped like 50 times. And it didn't feel like enough.

Afterwards I really didn't feel like being in a car so much and Jana and I walked around IKEA. Also the very first time I have been there. Ended up picking up a small desk for the bedroom while we where there. LOL

Needless to say, I'm pretty awake and alert right now and although I didn't eat anything for supper, my desire for food right now is gone.

So yeah, I'm off to a banner year in 07...

Damn fool! Glad you're ok. I choked on a gumball once when I was like 7. You're right, you just instantly panic. My dad was there, and he just picked me up upside down, and smacked the shit outta my back, and it came flying out. Himlech wasn't too popular then I think. I bet Jana's going to learn it now!

I don't know if she'd ever learn it, but in my case she should probably take a first aid class.

It was just crazy when I think about it. I can kinda remember everything that happened, but yet, it is all kinda of a blur still.

Damn... Glad you're okay. Close calls like that really make you think.

Wow, choking in a restaurant is supposed to be a cheesy hollywood cliche', not reality. Then again, so is some savior who actually knows how to do the heimlich. I imagine it was scary, but it'll be a great story after the excitement wears off.
