Glad you're ok. Choking is indeed scary. My mom tells me when I was a baby i choked and started turning blue, and my dad put me on his leg and slapped the shit out of my back and i coughed it up.

Another interesting thing is that my mom's mom said when she was a girl, she was told to chew everything 20 times before swallowing, lol. A little excessive, but back then, there was no "heimlich" ya know?

When someone basically saves your life, thank you is never enough.

This was the scariest moment I've ever had in my life. It's one of those things you just never think could happen to you. We both took our first bite about the same time, and as we were chewing he kind of made a funny noise. I asked if he was ok, and he didn't really say anything. Then he started to spit out some food on his plate. I honestly thought he got a bad piece of chicken, since he's such a picky eater. Then he started to get up and was clapping his hands and pointing at his throat. I then started to freak out. I got up and yelled for somebody to help, he's choking. Thank God there was someone close by that knew what to do.

I will definitely be learning how to do the manuever (that I can't spell). lol
