Just got done building it, and getting her up and running, and most of the basic software stuff I need. Pretty cool though. It really wasn't that hard at all, and man I saved a ton of money. In the end, it cost me right around $690 for everything, including the case. Here's a couple quick snap shots I took!
Some of the specs...
AMD Athalon X2 64 Dual-Core, 2.0ghz
1gb ddr2 ram
sataII 80 and 250gb Hard Drives
Abit KN9 motherboard w/ 1000MHz FSB
ATI 256mb/256bit video card
LG DVD burner
Sony DVD ROM
Centurion Case

Good job, man. I guarantee that you will never buy a pre-built computer again aside from a laptop.

AH, the joy of your first born. I agree with Matt, never agian.
Nice! That's definatly the route I'm going next time around. Just wanna get something that will be a video editing machine! And from what I've seen it's much much much cheaper to make one than buy one pre made.

The only reason i built this one is because my old one was pretty bare bones, and we are starting to do some real basic video editing stuff. Now with this, it should work A LOT better. Oh and plus I can burn movies now toO!!
I wonder how much this computer would have cost from like Dell. I paid $690, and I'm guessing this would have cost well over a thousand from a company like Dell or any of those other companies.

Thats real nice there. I keep telling my friends and family to let me build them there comp. But nope they rather spend it. My wifes side that is. But ya very nice man. You have USB2.0 or firewire for transfers of the vid to the comp?

That is the only way to buy a computer, great job man.
You can make a gaming computer equal to any alienware for 1/5th the price. Can even buy the alienware case if you really want offline too for like 100 bucks.

Nice! I've been building cpus for as long as I can remember (damn, that makes me sound old!). Well, I'll just say that the first machine that I built had a 266Mhz pentium2. :) You gonna overclock that beast?
Nice mobo selection, btw. Abit is my personal favorite!
