Security is always an adventure. Basic customer relations is completely forgotten and there is no accountibility by the people supposedly watching out for us.
Thanks to all the crap they put you through it is now faster to drive most places (and cheaper). A 3 hour flight took me over 9 hours to go from MPLS to Ohare to Denver.
Hopefully the flash drives turns up and someone does the right thing and sends it back to you. Any chance it fell into the conveyor somehow?

I don't understand why a security official wouldn't provide his name to you. Especially when he's the one who was helping to conduct the search. Somehow I feel that he possibly had pocketed it.

Nope. We searched the entire conveyor, every tub, and the entire floor.

Nor do I. He either knew he had fucked up or had pocketed it himself.

I forgot to mention that I sent the e-mail to the TSA as well. If I don't hear from any Heathrow and/or TSA representatives tomorrow, the people who hosted me in England offered to follow up further for me so we'll see what happens.

I thought the gay TSA was only a USA agency.
Plus Heathrow really sucks to fly through.

They are but I visited with some TSA people in Chicago and they recommended contacting the TSA too.

Well I received an e-mail from the Heathrow airport public affairs manager and she said they're looking into it so it shall be interesting to see what evolves.
