Yup, you can put them in any position, anytime you want, from inside the car. And all you do is remove that one little "chiclet" sized thing.

lol.... I thought that was a pretty cool mod. I saw somewhere (I think on tuners) that someone used camaro headlights and some how jimmy rigged it so the flip ups stayed down and when you turned on the lights they showed through the stock clear lense dealy. Even though I love flip ups, mine are broken and they stay up and I would rather have them stay down so I think I might do that camaro headlight mod.

yeah, i was all about this 6 years ago. It is easier to search for "chiclet mod" to find this deal. It is on the passenger side and it is easily reverseable.
I might actually be doing this. LOL

Can someone please explain to me why a mod to make your headlights look broken is cool? If you like it thats fine, to each their own, I am just curious.

Just something different to look cool.. like clear corners or black covers, etc. :)

Why would someone put carbon fiber parts on their car when plastic and metal work just fine?

They do that to make the car lighter and the weight distrobution more even.

Pretty sure it was a rhetorical question.... And spelling owned you. It's just something different to do. If you like the way it looks, do it. It's your car, make it look the way you want it to, not how everyone else wants it to look. I, personally, think it's still a little ricey though :P

I don't like the way the lights look up. They look great down. If I need extra light I comprimise by putting them part way up. it looks better than having tall triangles sticking straight up on the front of your car.
