Warranty?
Unpossible. It's modified, and he doesn't have all of the stock parts.

After talking with a few people it sounds like it's a spun rod bearing. I won't know for sure until I can get the oil pan pulled.

Seems to be fairly common in the EVOs. 9guy9(Luke) just bought an evo with a spun rod bearing. I believe his was the number 1 rod.

Sorry to hear about the bad news. Sucks that it didnt quite hold up like the stock bottom end on your DSM.:(

Yep, in the EVO.

Shitty, sorry man! Let me know if I can help with anything.

It sounded more like a broken rod banging around inside the block more than a spun rod bearing. Oh well, at least no rod was peek-a-booing out of the block. Some how when I heard that rod banging sound it hurt me inside as bad as if it was my car.

What can you expect from a 7 bolt motor making 400+awhp? I knew it wouldn't last like my old 6 bolt did. I was just wanted it to make it through the year.

I don't think it's a broken rod since all the pistons move up and down like they are suppose to and the block is still in one piece.

So what are the plans now, go nuts, or keep it low key?

Probably just build a 2.0.

Nope, I really don't have any where to work on it.
