View Full Version : Air travel alert high: U.S. suspects al Qaeda ties
http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/08/10/us.security/index.html
This is some pretty freaky shit to wake up to this morning. And with the delays it's going to cause at the airline it's going to get people edgy again.
I have to say, I feel much better waking up to raised alerts and suspects with exsplosives arrested opposed to seeing another plane being taken down.
I am glad I am not flying right now! One of my guys was supposed to come back today, but he got done early and flew back last night.

God damn!!! I just heard this on CNN when I got off work like 10 mins ago! With all this shit going on with foiled plots and the Hezbollah/Israeli War, I might have to reconsider moving to the Czech Republic in October :(
Due to the shit this morning, Crude dropped $2 a barrell.

WTF? How can a billion people worldwide give enough of a shit about 20 assholes trying to blow themselves up on a plane that it actually affects the economy.

Greeeat. I was supposed to being flying out to Texas... :(
My guy actually didn't get out last night. He flew out this morning. It wasn't any big deal, he just had to check his luggage that had his shampoo, toothpaste, etc. You also have to throw away any drinks you have in your carry on.

In a month?!? People get too worked up over nothing, its not like they are shutting down airports and canceling a mass amount of flights (not to mention, this happened in the UK, not US).
