I personally couldn't stand the rattling of it on my daily-driven dsm. a single disc or 6-puck holds just as much power, just fine. But, that's my personal tastes.

Being able to push in the clutch easily sure is nice. What is this massive single disc that can hold as much torque as a twin disk?

I built all of my car too, it is a good feeling.

honestly, maybe not as much torque, but I also don't see a whole lot of people here pushing the limits jet. shane, chris, and swanny I can see pushing it-yet, swanny's car works just fine without that clutch. I know you and steve have the power, but honestly, it's nothing that a 6-puck or disc can't handle. Cher's old car made more power, and he still only had a 2900.

Who's everyone? Care to expand?
Yea,everyone = everyone who got on the dyno between 10 and 6. Pretty much all the turbo cars there where running lean as far as I saw, and I was there from the first pull. you where not in that everyone. Shoulda dynoed the jeep. haha.

My pedal pressure is that of a 2600 and my car makes 660lb ft of torque, and rising ;).

Are you using that DXD-F still?

Kind of.
Andy and I came up with a stronger pressure plate and a slightly bigger disc and different material.

It is really a Southbend clutch SS-DXD-FE.

It is available now to the 3s market and there is a similar clutch setup we are running on 2 dsms. (1 now, 1 later).

FYI, We've had an act2600 street disc hold 425awhp on our dyno, its getting one of the southbend units now.

Torque is the only limiting factor to a clutch as far as power goes. HP has nothing to do with it. Also Swanny is running a larger clutch than a DSM does, so that doesn't mean crap. How much torque did Cher's car make?

A single disk will handle most of it on a DSM, but you end up replacing them often at high HP levels. A twin disk will last much longer.
