Hi, I finally caved in and joined this forum. Here's a little about myself:
I've owned and modified DSM's for almost 10 years now. I'm currently on my second DSM. I owned a 1g for a short time before getting a 2g. The car has been through hell and back. I'm on my 4th motor (I'm done with 7 bolts and crank walk), 3rd ECU, 4th turbo, 2nd transmission, 8th alternator (at least), ect. I guess I'm just a regular DSMer; dealing with things that most car owners don't have to deal with.
This will be my last Mitsubishi. I'm tired of dealing with such an unreliable car. Luckily these cars are very easy to fix and parts are damn near free.

From the looks of your sig, looks like you need a turbo upgrade. Welcome to the site btw.

I couldn't agree with you more. I'm planning on buying a different car sometime in the next year. Since my car really isn't worth selling, I'm going to add a bigger turbo and SMIM and make it a track/fun car. The ultimate goal will be 450hp on 93 octane. I've seen it done on cars with similar setups but with bigger turbos (obviously).
I know Dre made 500hp on a similar setup to mine but I have no plans of pushing this turbo that far.

Thanks. No, I don't have any pictures of my car. It looks stock except for a 2gb talon bumper, gunmetal rims and a FMIC.

Bring that thing to our dyno day on sunday! Any idea what it puts down?

I was thinking about it but I have some things I need to iron out. After the methanol injection went in I cranked up the boost. The increased pressure created a massive boost leak at the wastegate actuator which is causing all sorts of problems. Luckily I was able to hunt down a replacement diaphram from AGP. Hopefully it will come in the mail soon.
Also, I can't seem to get DSMlink to connect to the ECU. Does anyone sell the DSMlink -> OBDII connections locally? I suspect the cable I have is bad (it has caused problems in the past). Right now I'm on the burned settings which are WAY different from what I am running now.
Also, my birthday is on the dyno day... I'm going to be way to hung over (nothing new for a sunday I guess).
I will be dynoing in the next few weeks but I would like to spend a little more time between pulls to make changes. I haven't decided on where to dyno yet.

Hey, I believe I talked to you once at my work, a Mobil in St. Anthony. I asked if you were on Style, and told ya how nice your car was ;)

Wow thats amazing that you picked me off. I live about 2 miles away from there. You have the 20g powered 1g right? I think I was talking to you about the 2.4 swap I was about to do.
I registered to this forum because I was tired of running into people that asked if I was on the local DSM forum. Even STR4 guys were asking me.
