OK im gonna list of some of the more common dsm used turbos just post your opinion of each of them or some of them or whatever... Just looking for responces like what is your overall opinion either from what youve heard about them or what you have expirenced with them. IM likely missing a couple but add if you want.

I loved my old hahn super 20g. We had a new PTE 50 trim before also and had a terrible time getting a tune on pump gas with it. It always knocked. GT35R-we'll see pretty quick.

big 16g was a good turbo. 60-1 waste of time imho. I'd just go with the scm61. gt42r is a dyno numbered turbo, not too street friendly, but likes higher trap speeds. gt35 is a good turbo, basically a 61 (from what I know). 20g is about the same as the new evo twin-scroll turbos, in terms of power.

I loved my 20G. Id say 20G or 50trim FTW on a street car.

Solid, but small and stock
Small 16G
getting larger, reliable
Big 16G
better off with an evo 16g

Old school, works well
20G
I like pte 50 trims better
50Trim
Good street turbo
60Trim
Decent turbo, 50 trim is better
60-1
Horrible compressor map
GT35R
Great street setup, tad large for some people
GT42R

Why bother?

14b
Enough for 10s in the 1/4 mile.

Small 16G
Noticeable lag.

Big 16G
Sounds a bit big.

18G
All the power of a 16G with the lag of a 20G.

20G
Unstreetable.

50Trim
Is this a T3/T4?

60Trim
10 more trim than the 50-trim.

60-1
Good for a low boost V8s.

GT35R
Is this some new fangled turbo? Is the "R" for race?

GT42R
You got a semi there?

Never been a fan of the 50-trim, but I think either the Big/EVO 16G or 20G makes the perfect street turbo.

T-25 = Gay
T-28 = Just get an Evo III 16g
14b = Good starter
small 16g = Why?
big 16g = Might as well go Evo III 16g
Evo III 16g = Good "mild street" turbo, lower power goals
18g = Evo III's are cheaper and make the same power
20g = good turbo, but its too fuckin expensive
50 trim = good alternative to the way more expensive 20g
60 trim = might as well go 60-1
60-1 = good for a bit more power
GT35R = on the big side, I wouldnt street it
GT42R = too damn big

Tom, a 50 trim or a 61mm most likely fits your needs for going through the gears. The 50 trim might spool better in reverse. :)
