This is just plain twisted and cruel and I hope something that resembles justice other than being "grounded" comes of this. Who knows what they will grow up to be doing now.

When I heard this on the news this morning, it was just unreal. After seeing the picture, and hearing how small the dog is, it disgusts me. The parents of these children should be held accountable, if their children are too young to punish. It's just not right.

Call me a hippy if you will, but I love animals to death, and that right there is pathetic. I hope those kids get something more than a grounding.

But as far as holding the parents responsible, I don't really agree. I was in the military, and the thing I hated the most was me getting in trouble for someone else fucked up. I'm sure this is the last thing the parents expected when their kids said they were going out to ride their bikes. I was a pretty good kid, but I made some stupid mistakes when I was a minor and it was in no way a reflection of how my parents raised me. I did something wrong, and I got in trouble, and that's how I think it should be.

But at ages 6 & 8, they shouldn't be out by themselves without a parent keeping an eye one them. If the kids want to go riding bikes, a parent should at least be outside, or keeping an eye on them to see where they are (make sure they aren't riding in the middle of the road, etc).

Both boys' parents said that their children have been grounded.
Whoopy fucking do.

She said the consequences for juveniles can range from counseling to criminal charges.
I'd send the parents and retarded kids to repeated conseling sessions plus require community service for all.

Saw that on the news last night. Pretty pathetic. Do we have some future human killers on the up and coming? I would have never thought about doing that at when I was a kid. I guess I used to burn ants with a magnifying glass but I think that is a bit different than someones family pet.

Grounded?! You've got to be fucking kidding me. What the hell is that teaching the kids? NOTHING. All I did when I got grounded is figure out how to make my parents life hell for grounding me.

And I completely agree with Jana. At 6 & 8, riding my bike ment I got to play anywhere that my dad could see from the house. How fucking irresponsible is it to let little kids go off and play like that. 8 maybe, but not 6. These are the ages in which your parents are supposed to teach you right from wrong, and isn't it pretty much common sense to teach your kids from the start that harming living creatures is wrong?! How sick and twisted are these kids going to be. I believe thats total irresponsiblility on the parents part.

It reminds me of a story I heard awhile back where two 8 year old boys kidnapped a three year old boy by coaxing him away from his mother in a store and leading him to train tracks. They then proceeded to beat and litterally torture him to death. The article told of all of the extremely graphic things they did to him and it just made me wonder where the hell the parents are and what the fuck they are teaching these kids. Have you no idea how to raise a fucking kid? If your kids are doing things like this, you obviously have no control over them, and I don't believe you should even have a kid then.

Just my opinion.

No offense but what else can you do to a 6 or 8 yr old? I agree that there should be further punishment but they are too young for the law. As a parent what would you do?

They could atleast make their kids publically appologize to the dead puppys owners... only 1 kid apologized so far.

Sad what kids are doing these days...
