I thought you wouldn't buy a car w/o seeing it first? IMO, buying a modded car off ebay is probably the worst that you can do. Just my .02; I did forum research before even considering my car(s) but that's just me.

Super Bleeder!!

I've seen it, I just havn't drove it.......yet!

I paid $2000 down, balance payable ONLY on approved test drive.

I sure as hell ain't going to pay him the other $28k if it isn't striaght, but thats just me!

I talked to the guy for an hour, he's a IT engineer, like I and a straight shooter.

He assured me that this car is like NEW and 110% AOK!

At the VERY worse case, if anything was wrong, I could just demod it, as is still under warranty for the next 6 months.

Didn't you fly out state to buy yours? Wasn't yours modded as well? Yeah we all know forum research is very < not> reliable and just hear-say at best,

So what's the difference? It really all shakes out when you actualy get to test drive the car anyway don't it?

BTW, Thanks for the congrats.........;-P

Anyone would, no offense, who wouldn't if they were trying to sell their car?

That's if you have all the stock parts and can do it without the dealer tracking traces of mods

Yes I did fly out of state for mine and it was slightly modded. "Forum" research is reliable because of trusted other DSMers who I know will give me the piece of mind that the car is really ok without having a bias towards the owner. I actually found out that the guy I bought it from is good friends with a guy on NABR that I met at the DSM Shootout a while back. I don't know if you don't know, but the guys on there don't fuck around with transactions and ripping people off. That alone is enough piece of mind. Also, the fact that the guy was willing to link me to any forum he had been on (5 local forums of his, DSMs, street racing, etc...) to show me he hadn't beat on the car and that there were multiple unbiased people who would vouch for the car, shows me that he is really telling the truth.

But anyways, good luck with your car. I've seen firsthand, Cobras that are modded then sold after those similar parts were put on and it made it make less power than stock. I've looked a lot into the cars and their owners when I was looking for one.

Who says that I'm not looking into this guys references? You sound make it sound like I already bought the car and paid him in full? Again I only made a deposit, pending inspection! You don't really think I haven't done some reverse lookups and done some reseach on this guy yet? Or that I won't call the tuner shop he listed to as ask about this cars history and condition? Bottomline man I don't and won't answer to you, or your unconstructive criticisum. I'm about as careful as you can be without trusting "some guy I met at some meet somewhere sometime back", eitherway it's really my ass not yours isn't it.

BTW, ALL the stock gear IS included in case of a needed emegergency demod.

Thanks again for caring so much, but I'm done arguing with you now, so please go rain on someone elses parade now k?

No, not "k", because I'm not arguing with you. Have fun with your Cobra. I'm sure it will look great with yellow and purple all over it also.
