Hey, just cruising around looking for more specs on 1g DSMs, and look what i found. http://www.eagletalon.net/ dunno if you guys seen this, but it looked pretty interesting. the guy made his 1g rwd conversion and a longitudinal 4g63 mounted...pretty interesting find. i know he isnt the only one, but this looks pretty decent. :)

or you could modify the front axles so they have a bearing on them that allows them to spin freely but put no power to the front wheels

When (if) I finish my current Talon, I was thinking of getting another for a RWD drift project. I dont think its too hard, obviously you'd need to make new motor/tranny mounts, but I think you use a AWD car, leave the rear end, get a mighty max tranny and driveshaft and you're set.

It's two NABR members building it up as a race car. It should go real good once it's done. It was out at the SO two years ago on a trailer.

Did it run? How'd it do? Or did they bring it just to show off?

Yea I don't think modifying your axels is the best of ideas, even if there isn't going to be any power going to them.

They just trailered the body and frame down to show. They now have most of it put together, there's a buttload of one-off fab work on that car. It's going to be sweet when it's done.
