There is a guy on MNSC that has free CarFax til the 17th I think.

He goes by jjdurrant or something like that and has a thread started for it.

Yep found the thread here:

Thanks for the tip!

Scam. That's $31K car. I guarantee that vin is tied to a different Cobra advertised somewhere else. He probably wants a deposit via Western Union. I almost fell for this scam on an NSX.

I just saw a black 04 convert cobra like that the other day, he came side by side with me and I started pulling on him from about a 50 mph roll out (never broke the speed limit however), I thought it would put up a lot more of a challenge then it did. Hopefully the guy just wasn't getting on it as much as he could of been.

Bet that was a std 4.6 NOT a supercharged one!

The carfax came up clean with the # listed, but I'll have to agree, it's just too good to be true!

The closest I could come locally is asking $29K which is almost twice of what I want to spend:

I think I saw a black one the other day by Maplewood Mall. Cool thing was, it had a DB Performance sticker on the window. Looked pretty aggressive.

I called the guy, he said it's 100% straight?

Did you happen to ask the guy where he's at?

The cars.com ad says New York, the phone number is based in Los Angeles, and the eBay auction is in Arkansas.
