Whats does an engine and tranny cost?

This is not a classified, i am just curious to know how much it would cost to get a engine and awd tranny for a shell i now have laying around. I am more than willing to buy them seperitly, but I'm looking for the total cost (rough estimate). I don't care if it's a 6 or 7 bolt, or even if it's all put together, as long as it was in good running condition before it was taken apart. I'm trying to see if it would be worth buying an engine and tranny to put in, or if i should just sell the shell as is. Any type of info is appreciated.

$300 - $350 each probably for the complete engine and tranny.

700 is a good rough estimate.
I wouldn't go any cheaper than that though.

I would say 5000 on the high end for a built motor/built tranny.
