Thats cool you used statisitics to figure it all out. Sadly, I knew exactly what you were describing :)
I dunno man, I wouldnt spend too much money on anything newer with the possibility of being deployed. You'll end up trying to unload a car in a hurry for a loss or making payments on a car that will just sit and depreciate.

there was a guy with an rsx that i raced from a stoplight a few years ago. they look pretty good with some bigger wheels and lowered a bit. have fun!
Alright, go drive one! Stats doesn't mean crap for buying a car. It has to feel right. I have driven a RSX-S and I actually hated it. There was no power what-so-ever! It made a bunch of noise, but didn't go any where. I am not comparing this to a DSM either, my ex ended up getting a Impreza 2.5RS which felt much better.
Check out a Lancer RalliArt, 174hp 2.4l in it. Not real talked about, but a great little car. It will also be MUCH cheaper than the RSX.

I have a friend looking to sell his Black '02/3 WRX. Has some parts on it but isn't too crazy. Somewhere around 40k on it. Very nice and clean car. Just thought I'd add that for you. If you would want a project RSX here is a repairable : http://www.ajrepairables.com/vehicle.aspx?External=home&Vehicle=373

I have driven my buddys RSX-S with exhast and a race header. I really enjoyed it. The shifting is a little weird but oh well. I would never just go buy a car without test driving it before. Yeah I do understand what you are talking about CVD. I just need a new car I guess? according to my mother. I'm almost positive I won't have to make payments on it when im deployed. At least I know I won't have to pay rent or my cell phone bill. As long as I give them 30 days advanced warning.
