Yeah its just sooo addicting! DAMNIT! ok so. No civics, No automatics.

RWD is a possible no no.
AWD is a plus
FWD meh...

Well I will defineately be looking in the next few days. Hopefully I'll find a car that suits my price and wants.

E46 M3s go for 30k plus still, They started those in 2000. 1995-1999 are E36 and they start at about 13k low end and up from there, but they will have higher miles ~100k.

I would look at something newer and cheaper to maintain.

I have decided to go with a 02-05 RSX type S.

Figure I would like it, nice looking, mom will like that its reliable! She actually was thinking of getting a RSX (not S) back in 03. So I think it should be a good thing!

That would have been the next thing I threw on the list. Reasonable choice. There are some certified pre-owned ones in the area if that's something that's important to you. Check out Carsoup.

That's probably a good choice for where you're at right now.

Good choice, I've never driven one, but the interiors are nice and people seem to love them. The K20 is a strong engine and as far as NA goes they respond amazingly well to mods. A used Acura Certified would be a nice find since they'll usually toss a 7/100 extended warranty on them, but do keep in mine one single aftermarket mod and that extended warranty will be voided (mods won't affect factory warranty aslong as they are just basic bolt-ons). Keep us posted on what you find!

Ive always like those cars as well, almost tempting enough to go test drive. Nice choice!

I've always been a fan of the A4 turbo quattro. Style, reliability, comfort, and pretty fun to drive (not as fun as a dsm with some power though). You can never go wrong with an Evo, but insurance for a 19 year old on an Evo is pretty outragous. It all depends on what you're looking for, I think you should make that decision and post it. Then you can start to get some advice on what to get, because there are plenty of cars in your price range, and many different types (luxury, performance, etc, etc).

I hate Audi's. No offense but they are overpriced jettas/passats. Oh and the S4, wayyy overpriced, but also its nice i guess?

I'm a stats major, so I am stupid and did a regression on a couple of different cars. Its hard to explain but i basically thought of numbers for what I personally wanted in a car. AWD=8 FWD=5 RWD=3, turbo=2 NA=1, Insurance(at least what i thought it would be) lower=worse. anyway you get the idea. The RSX-S came out on top, right next to the WRX. I didnt really know how reliable the WRX was so I threw out that variable.

some of the varibles had very high correlations, kinda weird? but oh well. I am actually using this project as my stats 310 final! My teacher loves cars and wants me to add a whole ton more cars to it though.

Cliff notes: I am a nerd that picked a RSX-S from a model! haha

^^ Audis are really nice cars and I almost picked up an S4. If they didnt have so many issues with the 2000-2001.5 turbo designs then I would have got one, but didnt want to deal with 2 turbos stuffed way underneath by the firewall. I still absolutely love the S4 interior, and A4 for that matter. They arent really overpriced because they are meant to compete with M3's and that type of car.

As far as choosing FWD over RWD whats your logic in that?
