Never done this before but I thought Id take a stab at it. I fiberglassed the center vents for an SAFC II. So Far it has turned out great. I still have to paint it and hopefully it wont look to out of place. Here is a couple pics of it so far. Let me know what you think...

looks pretty good man! Did you make the whole thing from scratch, or is the main plate made from some sort of template?

I grinded down the stock piece and laid fiberglass over where the vents go. Then sanded that til it was kind flat and then put some bondo down to make it flat and smooth.

looks good.
I'm sure you know this, but if you are painting, prep work is 90% of what makes it look good, and with my experience with fiberglass, there can be rough spots that are hard to feel and see, but when you lay down the paint, you will notice a nice gouge somewhere.

Good job!
Find somewhere nice and warm to put it for a few days (about 100-120 degrees F). It will cure a little more with heat. Make sure you sand it a ton. All the little imperfections will show when painted.
Looks nice. Good luck!

Finished it up today and installed the wiring for the SAFCII. Paint has some flaws in it but I got sick of dickin around with it so it looks good for now. Let me know what you think.
