I'm not familiar with byeing parts to bild a 4G64, could someone help me out too? Can I use the pistons out of my John Deere tractor and the rods out of my CAT-powered Peterbilt?

Eagle and Wiseco also make good stuff. A good google search will yield some good results.

Crower rods are pretty good. Pauter makes really nice rods...save up for Ti rods...should be about $720 a piece. By that time you will have searched and learned all you can. JUN makes the best pistons/rods/cranks I have ever seen...but the prices are crazy.

Are you asking what brand of rods and pistons or what specs are needed to build your 4g64T?

Most people use the same rods as the 4G63 and then use custom pistons. I used Eagle rods and Ross pistons in mine.
You can buy the pistons from a lot of places. Magnus Motorsports has a wide selection of pistons with various compression ratios. I wouldn't go higher then 8.5:1 for a pump gas car but that's just me.

Pistons are off the shelf as well. 87mm, from Wiseass they're about $395.

You dont need custom pistons (wrist pin hight) unless you are putting a 4g64 crank in a 2.0L block which would make it a 2.3L. Rods, wrist pin hight and bearings are all the same between the 4g63 and 4g64 motors. (6 bolt = 6 bolt and 7 bolt = 7 bolt.. Duh)
The 4g64 has a deck hight 6mm higher than a 4g63, there for since the 4g64 crank has a stroke 12mm larger, 6mm TDC and 6mm BDC... The pistons and rods are the same specs except for the cylinder size making the pistons 1.5mm larger in the 4g64. 85mm bore in the 4g63 and 86.5mm bore in the 4g64. Just some tech info.
Some of you know this but for others who dont...
