There you go. You learn something new everyday. I started my 2.4 build in 2002 when people weren't as knowledgeable. ;)

You must mean about ! ~ $485 or so. Nope. I built two 2.4's one after the other. Total for pistons with tax and shipping was $812. You must be thinking of Rosses.

Wiseco off sets the wrist pin to help with piston slap on warm up, Ross and J&E pistons have the wrist pin in the middle of the piston. So its a good idea to install the off set wrist pin piston the right way (arrow or dot to the front of the motor, i e timing belt side). But having the pin moved up or down in the piston to account for a longer/shorter rod, or longer/shorter stroke is not needed as the 2.4 pistons are over the shelf now. Installing a 2.4 crank in a 2.0 block would need the wrist pin moved up in the piston to account for the shorter deck on the 2.0 block.
