Update:
I drained the oil and didn't see any obvious metal contamination so I decided to play another hunch of mine on what may be wrong before dropping the oil pan. I then found out my flywheel came loose from the over rev. I'll have the tranny off tomorrow and see how much damage there is.

I got married, bought a house, snowmobile, I went to a lot of college hockey games, and pretty much take a bit a of a break from car forums during the winter. I post up a few times a week, I just don't have much to add to a lot of the threads that come up over the winter. Anyways, I'm now back into the swing of repairing DSMS and I am loving/hating every minute of it.
