i have no idea... but i'd rather just take it easy on the first 500 miles. then after that i'll boost it a little for another 500. then once 1000 hits i'll change the oil and then have away with it

I've always read the best way to break it in, is to break it in with some good solid pulls to get the rings sealed up right. The first few miles are the most important because the crosshatch pattern in the cylinders wears off quick, and that's what acts sort of as a "file" and files the rings so they seal nice and snug. And the reason you need to run it hard is so that there is more pressure in the cylinder, pushing the rings outwards toward the cylinder walls so they can be "filed" better.

I'm no expert builder, but this is what I've noticed is the general consensus as of late when it comes to breaking in freshly built engines. I'm sure someone else has more experience with me. But I know when I get my motor, it's gunna be broken in using that idea!

Also, I heard that you should change the oil before 1000 miles, more like 500 miles or so. But then again, these are just what ive heard or read about in various places, and I have never actually done this myself. Maybe one of the LSE guys will chime in. ;)

Maybe one of the LSE guys will chime in. ;)Yeah thats what i meant on the oil.. sorry lol.. at the 500 tick i was going to change the oil then when 1000 hits change the oil.. then every 3000 after that... also this is what my brother told me he was going to do in the break in..

This is the way I do it (im ross)
I get it out on the highway and do 35-50mph pulls in 3rd gear 10times so the engine pulls vaccuum to seat the rings. then I do baby it around a coulple hundred miles but i do open it up. Now remeber alex your car has a 20g, 650cc injectors, hks 264/272 cams it really has to be tunes to really stomp on it or it will dump fuel and soak your cylinder walls and cause the rings not to seat good. Once I get 500miles on it, I change the oil and filter. Drive some more until about 1000miles total on the motor and change the oil one more time (after that 3000miles everytime) Keep in mind I do open it up but not straight dog the shit out of it just some 3rd gear pulls up to 80 or so.That is what Ross(My brother) was telling me on another forum.. i was just wanting other people's oppinions on it..
