I'm buying a project tomorrow. It was supposed to be a secret but since I know I'm going to have a ton of questions, and since I already opened my fat mouth and spilt the news to those of you who were at Applebee's the other night, I figured I'd just let you guys know.

Anyways, it's a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST. Yes, back to FWD. I don't mind really. I would like AWD but right now I'm not so concerned. I'm picking it up for $400 from a guy in Wisconsin tomorrow (if we can find someone with a truck, since my dad is being difficult). It doesn't run and it's a really pretty blue/rust color (please note the sarcasm when I say that). I'm kidding, there isn't to much rust. With it, I am getting enough parts to build to extra good motors. Expect to see a few parts going up for sale here and there, haha. Anyways, the car should be up and running by April, but only good enough to drive it back from St. Anthony (My shell is going to sit out there but the engine and all of the parts are coming home with me). I'd say it's going to be a good adventure. I'll learn a lot, but I know it's going to take an ASS load of patience. I'm really excited though; it should be fun!

*New goal, having a running Laser before Tauni's GST.

Now you have something to go with the tattoo ;)

I'm in project mode myself, building a block and tranny before I even pick up a shell, but I'm excited to get back in it and Jana doesn't seem to be pulling her hair out yet since I'm not jumping into buying a bunch of shit right away even though I could have already paid for a shep tranny and built 6 bolt in cash over the last 2 week ;)

I'm sure it will be a learning experience. Hope you are ready.

No doubt. I'll get pics as soon as I get it back to MN. The guy to the side skirts off, so it's pretty rough right now, but I'm probably going to get those back on as soon as I can.

Jakey: April! It will be running but as soon as I get it back to my house it's going to come right back apart. Basically I'm getting it running to get it back to Eagan, then I'll start modding it when it gets to Eagan. I won't be able to drive it full time for awhile because we are getting raped by the insurance company right now, so that will have to wait. Maybe if something is going on the day it starts running like Applebee's or KK I'll bring it out.

Allan, thats pretty bad ass. I'm hoping by next year I'll have enough money to take my car out, blow the tranny out, just so I can tell my dad I have to go pick up a Shep tranny, haha. But that's bad ass, can't wait to see a finished product!

Curt, Oh yah. It's going to be one hell of a learning process. I wish there was going to be more time to put the engine back together, but until April I'm going to be living out of my garage! I think I'm ready though.

You need to get yourself into a position where you can have GSX tattooed under the tri-diamond. :D

Well Son of a bitch, Tauni might be faster than me afterall.

This won't do....won't do at all. Poor quest might have to get more mods than planned this year :-D

For real tho, congrats! It'll be fun to see another DSM whom I know around my area. Good luck with it!
