FS: 86 CRX Si

It's on the block again. I need this thing gone (just like that old Snap-On toolbox I had up here a while ago).

Here are the specifics:

86 Honda CRX Si
Red
Odo shows 221,000 miles
Engine a little over 100,000 miles
Tokico HP shocks in the rear
87 Integra springs in the rear
87 Integra ECU
Home made short throw shifter with Integra linkage (short throw done the right way, not just cutting down the top)
Lowered front torsion bars
Strut tower brace front
Harness bar in the back between shock towers (Kinda bubble-gum welded in, didn't have a better stick welder at the time but it is firm)
Aluminum Kirkey racing seat on sliders driver's side
5-way harnesses for passenger and driver along with original belts as well
4 13" 85 CRX Si alloys (Enkei's that are light as a feather)
2 14" 88-89 CRX Si alloys
Random Technologies direct bolt-on replacement catalytic convertor

The Good:

The floorpan and panhard rod mount has been welded up. Body is very solid. Engine has a little over 100,000 miles. Everything works in the car.

The Bad:

The engine that was in it before shelled out. I took it out and replaced it with the one that's in it now. I am 98% done with getting the engine up and running. There is some rust in the wheel wells and a corner behind the drivers front wheel that is starting to rust. The Integra shift linkage moves the shifter forward a bit (neutral is where 1st, 3rd and 5th were). The rear brakes need complete replacing. E-brake cables are frozen up.

This would be a good project car for rallycross or autocross. Or it could be stripped down and built up as a road race car. Or it could be parted out. I just need to get it out of my garage. It is taking up space that I need very badly right now.

Looking for $500 firm.

If I think of more I will post up.

Re: FS: 86 CRX Si

Well, I started putting some things on it last nite. Got the intake, exhaust, most of the hoses and the electrical hooked up. Bolted the starter on. Now it just needs the axles put in, the distributor put on, the new radiator, the airbox and the brakes done.

It's getting close to being completed. If I do get this up and running, the price is going to go up. It will always be for sale, but I will be using it until I sell it if I do get it running again.

Buy it now while it's cheap or pay more later!!!!

Re: FS: 86 CRX Si

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It breathed life last nite. I just have to adjust the distributor, get a new battery, put in the brakes, and bolt up the exhaust.

At least now I know the engine runs and revs up. Next step after I get it road worthy is to put a cage in it.

As said before, this car will always be for sale. Just that price is going up with the improvements being made.

I am $500 firm as of right now. Once it is road worthy, the price will go up to $1000 or B/O.

Re: FS: 86 CRX Si

Could be.....

They held me in quite snug at the rallycross. Definitely worth the price tag I got them for.

Re: FS: 86 CRX Si

Its a sweet ride, with the ZC ecu and injectors I am guessing the A/F will be a little rich, and I hope the ignition timing is not to high, I will check with a timing light at some point.

Re: FS: 86 CRX Si

I have it just about as far as it will adjust in one direction. Probably just needs some fine tuning.
