Where us DSM'ers should meet up on the weekends?
Seems like alot of us DSM'ers are just scattered all across town on Friday/Saturdays nights and just aren't connecting. Just driving around in circles looking for other DSM's who are driving around looking for you! It would be great if we could agree where mainly to meet up shoot the shit etc. Below is a poll of some of the more popular places people are hanging out. Cast your vote and we can get a consenses, and start getting a better chance to meet each other. Anyway, please voice your opinon and lets figure a place to connect up somewhere? <If you have a better place to meet that's not in the limited poll list above, please post your idea for feedback!>
Thanks to DSMSTYLE for the space....!

Re: Where us DSM'ers should meet up on the weekends?
there is no poll. I would say some where close to a mechanic's shop so when they don't start after the meet, they will already be closse to a repair shop.

Motorcycle cop pulls up next to me on UNI and says "Want to race?"
Me- "I don't think you would stand a chance."
Cop says "probably not" and drives off.

Re: Where us DSM'ers should meet up on the weekends?
Porky's is too packed with fat Mustang homo's who talk to much shit.
Mcdonald's and Mobile are pretty standard for ricers and then those who hate the ricers and whic they'd leave. But we get kicked out of there every half hour, circle the block and come back when the cops have left.
Wendy's is dead these days and could be a good pick.
Foodsmart= Not so smart, considering you can get a ticket for even being in the lot with out a car.
Spring Street is not so good. Racing there= cops, accidents, tickets, etc. The Wendy's up the street has proven to be a quality spot. Sometimes the cops bitch but meh, not to bad.
Spin Cylce.... People actually hang out there?!? I'd be afraid of being shot...
Shepard Rd/Warner Rd.. Thing of the past back when the racign was actually fun.
What Mcdonalds by Broadway?
I think we are screwed..

So is it Wendy's that is just 3 blocks north from Spring street, behind Holiday Gas?
So, somehow I remember it as Mcdonalds?
Getting too old and crispy I guess?
It's Wendy's then or?

I think he is talking about the one if you go farther down on 280. You take a left on broadway and there is a McDonalds on the right a block down. I haven't been downtown this year yet, but last year cops were at the "spot" over there all the time. Good races once in a while though.

So just what's wrong with Wendy's on Uni and Fairview, looks pretty chilled down there to me?

The one actually in Minneapolis?? That doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Other wise the only place I can think of that he is thinking of is the Wendy's by the Holiday gas station right up the street from Spring St.

Yep, that other Wendy's by Spring st might be cool as well?
We need to find a place for at least semi-sane DSM'ers, where everyone can agree that doing burnouts right where you hang out at is stupid, as it just attracts the cops!

Tyler st off of central right in front of gopher towing. That way when shit breaks we have flat beds available right there, and an impound for overnight parking haha.

Re: Where us DSM'ers should meet up on the weekends?
I'd just like to finally meet some of you, and BS with people who actually know wtf is up, where I don't have to hear people talk about their "stage 3 turbo, stage 4 wastegate, fluttering blow off valves, and custom rice lights".

That's what I voted for, Wendys on Uni, <two blocks east of Porkys>, it always seems pretty chilled down there for some reason?
There's also good lighting, and food and an can right at Wendys.

Lol at the comment above. Anyways firestone, where the subaru guys hang out, is the best spot I've been hanging at. We stay there for long periods of time and no harassment from cops or very little. People even park on the opposite side of firestone, where a school is. Firestone seems to be a good place for a mixture of cars, as I've seen dsms, srts, hondas, nissans and etc. on a regular basis. May not be an ideal spot for dsmers but just wanted to put it out there.

Yeah I've parked up there a few times myself, not a bad spot, but the lot is IMHO a bit small & dark? I know most descent nights the WRX guys pack that lot up full. Wendys has a bit more room, but not much more either. Either way Thanks for your input!

Re: Where us DSM'ers should meet up on the weekends?
Unreal: well I know this because they talked a bunch of shit to me and one of my friends. Ever seen a 5 foot tall get into a bitching match with a 50 yr old fat ass?? You have that night...
Anyway. My deal is this. My number is on this board a few different places. If people are heading down there, give me a call and I can tell you where I'm headed and where to go. Usually I end up running into a lot of DSMers down there, and I'm friends with a good chunk of the guys that actually go down there. So just call me.

That's all good, BUT everyone doesn't have everyone elses number, and people come and go at different times. I think the simplest thing do try to do is come up with a spot in Midawy, that we can agree as to an unofficial "Homebase" for us and our DSM's.
We pushed this a few years back, and used to get the Spincyle lot FULL of DSM's on Sat nights, till the Damm VW boys took over that lot.
Looking thus far like the Wendy's lot, 2 blocks east of Porkys is leading the poll!
