How do you restore faded plastic?

I have some plastic motorcycle parts that I want to bring back to life. I don't want to just spray it down with Armor All because of the chemicals that are in there. I've heard that it seals up all of the small pores in the plastic and over time will make it brittle. This stuff is old enough as it is, and I don't want to make it any worse. So I was wondering what can be used to restore this stuff and make it look nice again.

Yuck, rattle can paint will just flake off, don't believe everything you see in commercials. Depending on the surface type of the plastic, you can polish it with plastic polish, or I just use light duty paint compound with a high speed buffer.

Steve did some good work to my spoiler with his buffer! It was faded and ugly, now it's BLING!

I used that on my Iroc Z alot and you had to maintain it all the time like wax to keep it up. But it did work nice.
