Ok, so I just had a fun adventure of tightening my Alt belt. I took off the fan and lossened the alt mouts all was going good. But then Im looking for that bolt that lets you control the belt tension and...guess what....IT WAS BROKEN OFF. The bolt itself was there but the head was missing. So i couldnt use that to make more tension. So all i could do was put all my wieght on the alt....then tighten up the alt mount bolts to get tension on the belt. Then when i was trying to teighten the belt my 1/4 ratched decided not to ratchet anymore....fuck. My 3/8 would not fit in there right...so i finally got it with my box wrench...which took forever. Anyway, my real question is think it will be ok? I did this it stop the squeak and on startup it didnt like it normally does...but i dont want it too tight and snap the belt. It still has a tiny bit of play. Think it will be ok?

Check your manual for the amount of flex the belt should have, if its within spec I say your fine.
