Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Proven force should be able to build a driveshaft for you depending what your needs are. I know we don't have fixtures for dsm flange and slip yoke but DSS driveshaft are 1310 series. Pretty much need to convert to the 1310 slip yoke, end yokes, tube, joints, and the adapter that DSS sells to connect to the rear shaft.

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
So would it save me money vs just going with a complete dss setup or what would be the benefit be of going with proven force? How about the carbon fiber ones that dss sells? Anyone know if they are worth it or what the benefit is there?

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
DSS driveshafts are overrated. I've seen a DSS wrx shaft come in and it had a ton of runout. Either they built it like crap or the owner really fucked it up. The welds weren't even nice looking. 799.99 is a lot for an aluminum 3" 1310 series. Keep in mind that it only eliminates the front hanger. So instead of a 3 piece shaft, it'll be a 2 piece reusing your last section with the hanger. With the 300m output shaft, i believe it takes a c4 slip yoke from a ford which is a 1310 series joint. It takes a much bigger joint than the dsm joint. We are also starting to sell CF driveshaft. But it is not built in house. They are glued to the aluminum end yokes. Very precise driveshaft. But once it goes bad, it's garbage.

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Installed my new built trans here a month ago and finally got some fuel. Went to brained with my wife and kids for a Wednesday night and made a couple passes. Tune needs work and I didn't have time to mess with it well I was there. I had some pretty pathetic launches, assuming because upgraded center and front diffs that I just wasn't breaking loose like before. First two passes I only ran out the third and on my third I tried fourth out. Tech guy was pretty bummed so I just called it a night and was glad to load a working car!

Nice MPH. When you get it to 60ft it's going to be a beast.

144MPH is moving along! The tech guy was bummed? Did he end your night due to the 11.2 pass?

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Thanks and yes the car is unreal in 3-4. Hope I can get some work done in 1-2 and it should be real fun. It needs a cage and yes tech was upset about mph more then the time. It was my warning and I just went for a little quick fun. Still want to get to play at pg and stuff this summer. Now that I have been able to get my coolant temps fixed with that half radiator I have actually been driving it around a little bit here and there and it makes me even more hesitant to put a cage in it.

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Well just about got my car all back together. Ended up having a few
issues last fall including my transmission popping out of reverse, my twin disc
needded a rebuild and needed to change out a coolant line cause the way I welded the -16 bung on. So rebuilt the ptt clutch, replaced the wave spring, installed a CNC handbrake, still working on the brake lines, a Magnus launch controller, redid -16 an shortened a coolant loop that was driving me crazy, installed the dss axles, now I really Would like to deal with the wiring. Would really like the have lms efi make me a harness. He made one for my adaptronic setup for my rx7 and the quality is amazing and makes it look so clean. Either way new barrel of e98 on its way and should get to go take it out next week. Really plan on getting it on the dyno at db this spring before I get sidetracked with other projects. Hoping to also switch out the wheels for a rpf1 setup

Re: Andre's 2g GSX build
Cool. I was afraid this car was tucked in the back of a shed or parted like alot of other badass DSMs. Keep up the good work.
