'87 Conquest TSI for sale

It's a '87 Conquest TSI Black with Black leather interior. It has a bad head, but otherwise complete. I have no time for it, but wanted to do a 2.4 etc.

I want to sell it as quick as possible.

$500 and it's yours

VIN: JJ3CC54NXHZ057061

Anything done to it? Fully intact stock otherwise? More importantly, what year is this beast?

Re: '87 Conquest TSI for sale

It's 100% stock to my knowledge. The head has been pulled, but I have that, and it will go with the car. As the title of the thread states its a '87. But some quest'rs said it has some '88 stuff on it? No idea.

It needs some love, but it's a real good project start. If I didn't have my line of project cars, I'd be on this one.

It needs more than a little love to get back to glory. If i was at a better stage in my life financially, I'd get this also. But it'll require a great deal of time, labor, and money to fix it, in all senses of the word.

However, it is a decent project start, like you mentioned.

By the way Speedfreak - You should mention it has a sunroof. Those are somewhat rare, and should up the value a tad.

Yeah, that extra value on a $500 project car will get Mo a nice quarter pounder with fries and a drink.

Well getting it back to glory is one thing, but getting it running for someone is another. To each their own I guess. It's a 19 year old car, it's amazing what people expect for $500.

Try seeing how cheap people are on other boards. Starquesters are notorious for being cheap.

Plus, money is money. Everyone wants to get a good deal REGARDLESS of what is being sold, at what price. I have made lots of financial mistakes because I have not looked far enough into the future. I'm sure there are other people that feel the same way. But, like you said, to each their own.

At that note, this car will eventually sell to somebody. If not now, in spring probably.

Re: '87 Conquest TSI for sale

I'll buy it for 350. I know that's lower than my last offer, but I wanted to make the "conquest guy" joke. Always cheap.

Anyway, it's got the SHP wheels in back (16x9) those are worth 300 bucks alone. New taillight, new head (or used if you like keeping your money) and about 2 days and it'd be road worthy.

If anyone here buys it and has questions, call me/PM me.

Good luck with the sale.

Re: '87 Conquest TSI for sale

I hear it's pretty easy to drop a 4g63 in one of these. Is this true?

Re: '87 Conquest TSI for sale

I'm not sure how easy it is, but from what I know, people drop the 4g63 or the 4g64 in these cars reasonably regularly. Maybe some of the questers can chime in on this subject. I was planning on the 4g64 widebody block, because as far as I know it bolts up to the tranny directly.

Re: '87 Conquest TSI for sale

This car was sold, but when we were looking for the intake mani/head/exhaust mani, they seemed to have disappeared from the shop. So, the customer backed out.

Since then I picked up a full motor from a local mitsu owner, but I still haven't touched the car. So now this car is still for sale for the same price, but it now comes with an extra full motor(condition unknown, but supposed to run).

Someone come buy it and bring this thing back to life!
