Re: New to town
My car is still in the works but should hopefully be finished by the end of this month. I also have a 1997 Esi (iknow i know....) with only 20k miles, that's still in Duluth. The turbo I will be running is a Borg Warner turbo. Definitely a negative on the underbody neons, ha not a fan. where are the weekly meets? Is that the Old Chicago thing?

Re: New to town
definitely not the same size as yours. I have the s256. I haven't heard a whole lot about them but what I have heard was good stuff so I gave it a shot. I honestly don't know what type of power to expect from it. I'm going pretty much from stock to 30psi on a 2.3l, e-85 tune, and 1650 injectors. fp race mani, recirc o2, apexi n1 exhaust, wally 255, thinking about going dual and bigger turbo maybe later ha, dsmlink v3, and fp4 cams, def some stuff i'm missing out on but that's generally a good idea of what I have. car had just under 60k original miles, planning on new paint later in the year and brake, susp, and wheel upgrades later also

Re: New to town
I don't think you'll need dual pumps, but I think you'll be pretty close. The 256's seem to be decent. Is yours extended tip? Supposed to have pretty decent spool characteristics, and flow a bit more then a 50-trim. On E85 I'd bet you could break 400 on DB's dyno, but that Mitsu housing may hurt your peak power slightly vs. a larger housing. But peak power isn't everything. I'm real interested to see how it does!

Re: New to town
Thanks for all the welcomes! yeah, i'm sure I'll get tired of what I have and end up going garrett. The good thing is is that I tried to set up for more power down the road so I wouldn't have to do a ton more upgrades. I also got the shep 3 trans with evo 1st gear. and yeah, it is the extended tip tech. Halon, do you dd your car or is it purely track

Re: New to town
It's only been to a track once. It's not a DD, but also not a track only car. It's just a summer toy. Comes out in the summer, stored for the winter.
If it's nice out all week, the car gets driven to work all week. If it's crummy out, then the DD get's driven.

Re: New to town
I don't think.... I'm ashamed to say it but I'm not very good at wrenching on cars, especially doing a 2.3l stroker so I'm having MAPerformance do it. It should be done as soon as I get my tranny from shep. I'd love to tack it to the track but probably work those days too. Dumb question.... do they require roll cages or anything more than helmets for sub 12 second cars? I have no idea what to expect mine to run
