FS: 92 AWD Talon - Finish My Project PRICE LOWERED

I've had this car for a while, unfortunately though it's spent more time apart in my garage than I've been able to drive it. I took it apart a few years back and haven't had the time/space/money to put it back together. I'm down to a single car now due to other circumstance and need to move this thing so I can find a second car. Basically you'd have to come and tow it away, then put it back together. The engine was completely rebuilt by a local shop, besides having the timing belt installed properly, it's ready to drop in. You'd need a new flywheel, clutch and pressure plate because I can't seem to find them.

On to the details:

1992 Eagle Talon TSi - AWD Turbo 5 Speed (Used to be an automatic)

Exterior:
Chasis has about 175k on it, no rust that I can see. Some dings in the doors and such, marks behind the rear tires from road salt damage. Typical rear bumper waviness. Burgundy, however, it's been sitting for a while so it's got a layer of dust. Would need a good washing, but should shine after that.

Interior:
I was in the middle of converting it to an all black/grey interior. The stock red was really bad. I replaced the seats with grey/black seats and put in new black carpet. I took the door accents off and was going to get them re-upholstered but never got to it. Still have them so they can be done or just put back on. Removed the automatic seat belts and put in manual pull ones from a Canadian model, however the pillar that they mount to needs to be modified a bit to go back on. Done some minor other modifications like gauge faces and a radio bezel with boost, voltage, and EGT gauges. It has a wideband O2 sensor, the PLX display is mounted right above the steering wheel. I was a car audio installer most of the time I was driving this car, so of course it had a stereo in it. I can't completely remember all the stuff, but there's some good speakers up front, some amps in the back all wired up, but no actual radio any more or subwoofers. It had a false floor in the back with all the amps and stuff underneath it so you could still use the trunk as an actual storage area.

Engine:
Standard 4G63. Fresh bottom end. Honestly can't remember the brand of rods/pistons. I do know that they are around 9.5:1 though. Head was ported, gasket matched on both exhaust and intake. 2G exhaust manifold with an EVOIII 16G using a stainless steel O2 housing that dumps the wastegate to the atmosphere. 650cc FIC injectors and some aftermarket cams that I can't remember.

The Rest:
Really big Precision FMIC, all stainless steel piping and a 3 inch intake that mounts right in front of the passenger wheel for all the cold air.
GM MAF with tuner box.
DSMLink for 1Gs, never used it, it's all setup, I started to wire the wideband O2 to it, and a GM 3 bar MAP sensor so you could log those also, but never finished. I think the wiring is all by the ECU at least.
Walboro 255.
2.5 in exhaust, no idea what brand, don't think it's stainless, was on the car when I got it.

I think that's it, like I said, this car has been mostly apart in my garage for a few years. I loved it a lot, but I just don't have any time for it anymore. It could easily be someone's summer project to put back together, before I took it apart the engine was on its last leg but I still managed a 12.7 out of it and it put down 320 whp on an AWD dyno.

I took really good care of this car, it was even highlighted as a member ride of the month years back, more than a few of the forum veterans around here should be able to vouch for it.

I have all the parts (with the exceptions listed above) to put it back together, you just tow it away and have fun. Let me know if you need more pictures or any more details.

Looking for $1750, cash only, no part outs. I know it's not ready to drive, but it's got a lot of potential and is in amazing shape for it's age.

Fuck my life. Want. Whats going on with the Left Front bumper cover area?

How much, if any rust is in the rear wheel rockers (IE when you look in the rear wheel well area, forward of the rear wheel.)?

I moved in June of last year and hastily put the car back together enough to move. When I put the bumper on I didn't put all the fasteners back in. It would just need to be bolted back on all the way and it should come back into spot. Nothing physically wrong with it.

Good call on that, didn't even know they rusted there. Pictures below.

Re: FS: 92 AWD Talon - Finish My Project

3 or 4 bolt rear end? 6 bolt motor? Paper work on motor?

Sounds like the onlything that is needed to get it running is a flywheel/clutch setup, and time to put it back together?

Re: FS: 92 AWD Talon - Finish My Project

4 and 6, no paperwork on the motor unfortunately.

And yes, some time and those misc. parts are all that's required. However, I need to restate that the vehicle has been sitting for a handful of years, anything is possible. I'm not saying it's a timebomb or anything, just be aware. I don't have any reason to believe anything is wrong, but things like the brakes might need to be looked at and such.

Re: FS: 92 AWD Talon - Finish My Project

Matt, is the car still for sale? Read the post several times: why does it not run, just the fact that the motor is out and it needs a new timing belt and flywheel/clutch etc?

Re: FS: 92 AWD Talon - Finish My Project

Price lowered, sorry about the lack of response. I've had someone interested in it for a month or so, but they never pulled the trigger.

Would be willing to strike a deal if anyone is able to pick it up in the next two weeks.

If I haven't replied to a PM, sorry, I'm having issues with them lately. Just reply here and I'll get in touch.

Thanks
