Recent storms, how'd everyone fare?

Pretty crazy stuff these past two days, I know a tornado cut through the north side earlier today, we had around 60mph winds at work... last night watched a giant wall cloud almost form above brookdale mall, there was crazy rotation going on.

Everyone else good?

Crazyness all happened *just* south and east of me. I actually had both dogs and anna packed up in the car and at Microcenter when it happened. All the neighbors said that the sirens went off literally as the tornado hit, there was very very little warning.

Looting at Penn & Broadway, about 20 blocks south of me, I drive through every day to/from work and I couldn't get within 5 blocks today cops and ambulances everywhere, and all side streets were just filled with debris.

Shawn posted some crazy pics in the shoutbox, I think I'll add them here.

God damn! Glad I got out of town without issue besides a slight delay. Pretty heavy thunderstorms here right now.

Re: Recent storms, how'd everyone fare?

The storms are pretty crazy. I wouldn't wanna be anywhere near a tornado.

Only thing we have to worry about here in ND is flooding. Which is happening alot right now.

Thankfully not much going on west of the cities. Just on and off light showers.

Blaine was right in the path of the storm both days. The tornadoes and hail did make it a little tough to tell if the kabob's were fully cooked, but we still managed...

Heavy rain and a little wind here in CR. Just enough to make a great day for relaxing

Re: Recent storms, how'd everyone fare?

I was playing in a hockey tournament in Maple Grove and both Sat & Sun we had to leave the ice area and go downstairs and wait until the sirens and warning stopped. No super high winds in Maple Grove, but it was windy and raining like hell for a long time. Then out of no where it got sunny both days and was super warm.

Re: Recent storms, how'd everyone fare?

well I was just fine...jesse on the other hand not so much..as I was watching the news live about the tornado I realized it was headed straight for his house, thank god he wasn't home but on his way home from rally mn. called him and warned him there might be significant damage to his house when he got home. He could not even get to his house as all the streets were blocked off, had to walk 3 blocks. found a giant tree covering his whole driveway (just narrowly missing the garage), power line down in his back yard, and all of the neighbors had trees in or on there houses. he said his block was the worst in the area, I have yet to see it but I will upload some pics he sent and as far as I know, zero power still either.

Wow, I'm glad none of you guys had to suffer through that. I heard there was damage but that is insane.

Re: Recent storms, how'd everyone fare?

I've been to Joplin, it's not a small town, they say 3/4 of it is destroyed without question with the rest sustaining damage and the town itself is unrecognizable.

How about those marshall law excerises the police were running yesterday. Cops in full combat loadout with AR's as far as the eye can see.
