WTB: 2g Awd Gas Tank

In need of a awd gas tank for my 2g. Mine apparently has a hole in it that leaks after filling it with about $30 worth of gas.

Think I found the issue. The plastic spin on thing for the fuel pump housing looks to be the culprit, not sure if it's crooked or stripped.

Is it possible you are installing it wrong with the gasket? Those can be tricky. No offense btw

+1 for that. I've done it before on a friend's car before I had my license and it took a few tries. Then it were a few years until I did the pump in my 2ga. I just did that maybe a month ago or so. It took a few minutes to figure it out.

Turned out that it is completely saturated and torn up pretty bad. I did Read that they could be tricky, so when the new one comes i'll be sure to take caution.

Re: WTB: 2g Awd Gas Tank

I drilled mine out where it meets the top of the sending unit then put a 90 degree barb to AN fitting there and used JB weld to hold it in place. Not very good pictures but you get the point.

Re: WTB: 2g Awd Gas Tank

Thought about doing that. I even went to db and got the fittings, but didn't want to mess with the factory pump o-ring piece thats on the other side so instead I ended up cutting one of the male -an's off drilled it out to match the line diameter and welded it onto the line. I'm hoping it will not leak. Last night I f'd up the hardline under the car trying to drill that out so my next question is, will it leak if I just put the hose over the line and clamp it down? It's the feed hose right after the pump.
Still interested in trying to find a sending unit just incase it leaks.

Yes it will leak. The the line on the car is bad you will have to buy a tank to engine an links kit.

or
A fitting for the fuel rail -6 AN (For the inlet, not sure if it matters)http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...l_fittings.htm
