Switching to E85? *Mod Please delete*
Since gas prices are going up like crazy, I was kind of curious to see what is all involved in switching to E85. I know that I should be running premium because of the turbo, but how does that work out with E85? Basically what I am asking is what is all of the stuff involved in the process of switching to E85 and what are the good and bad things about it.
Thanx for the info.

Wow, this is absolutely ridiculous. I don't think Brandon could have said it better:

Re: Switching to E85?
Holy cow you should be banned! There is a full thread just started about this. Actually though to answer your question, you don't need anything. If you piss in your tank after you fill up with e85 your good to go. You don't only save on gas prices, you also gain exactly 58 whp, 59 if your piss is yellow.
If you don't believe me then search you lazy ass. No you don't hardly even have to search, just read the new threads because obviously you don't do that.

Re: Switching to E85?
Typeing e85 into the serch doesn't help mutch. You have to type E-85.
We really need to get a sticky on this subject since the gas prices are going so high. Id be wiling to add info but Im not really very good at writeing it all up.

Re: Switching to E85?
You do realize that you need 30% more fuel for the same amount of air, right? The cost savings is minimal, but the extra power is worth it. Back to your search.

Is there even a cost savings? I've been wondering about that recently...

Re: Switching to E85?
Nope, it is cheaper than running race gas everyday, but it will cost more in the long run than premium. If the price of premium gas ever got well under $2, then you might start coming out ahead on E85.

Re: Switching to E85?
Someone put the conversion up a long time ago to figure that out exactly, I forgot it though. I know up here in Blaine E85 is 85c cheaper than premium. I personally don't use it to save money over premium. I use it because it's a great compromise between price and performance.
