Flywheel?

i have a 1990 talon awd tsi and im replacing the clutch and going to replace the flywheel. how do you determine which one you need? short of pulling the old one out. thanks

You need a 6 bolt awd flywheel

Might as well replace the flywheel when your in there. just make sure you get an awd clutch and flywheel, FWD's will be smaller and may work but you don't wanna go there.

Fwd and awd clutch are the same. The flywheels are differnt in size.

Actually after doing some searching depending on your power goals you could use a act2100 or 2600 and resurface the stock flywheel to .610 depending on what condition it is in. and I don't believe there is a difference as long as it's a 6bolt flywheel and the clutch doesn't matter because it's the same for 1g's and 2g's.

Yep clutches are the same for all dsm's. You just need to make sure you get the right flywheel, which is what I think this thread was about...

If you still need a flywheel I've got an ACT 6 bolt flywheel for sale...
