Front Mount Suggestions
I am looking at upgrading my front mount, I have a smaller long route ets kit at the moment, I am putting a 2gb talon front bumper on soon so I would prefer not to trim an extreme amount off of that. The two in which I have been looking into are the vrsf short route kit, and a punishment racing kit, which I believe is long route. Just trying to see what you guys would suggest for me to get. I am running an evoIII 16g, soon to be tuning to e85 with 1200cc pte's, am running speed density with a 6 bolt and will be putting a new ported/polished head with 268 cams in. Do have link aswell.
Any suggestions between these two kits or even another brand would be greatly appreciated

Did you run it on your talon Spyder?

Re: Front Mount Suggestions
I have installed alot of them. They fit great. On my Spyder I am running a kinetic racing fmic (sbr also sold it as there's in the US) did alot of cutting to get it to fit with the 2gb talon bumper.

Re: Front Mount Suggestions
Alright. I was leaning more towards vrsf. So if I understand you correctly I won't have to cut much for that one? I know I have to either remove or modify the crash beam which I am fine with, just want it to look good and perform better

Re: Front Mount Suggestions
Just cut up the crash beam. Bumper need minor trimming. Going to get the same fmic and put on the Evo 3 since I sold off all the big top mount big power crap to go back street set up.

VRSF. Also ditch the PTE 1200's if you're using e85. I know Shane has had all kinds of issues with them on e85. If they are the newer 1250's you should be good

ETS, perfect fit and great performance both cooling air temp and flow thru for getting air to the radiator.

Re: Front Mount Suggestions
Does ets make any bigger of kits though? Like I said I have an ets and it is quite small. Part of me feels like it won't be enough for the things I'm going to be doing to it.
About the pte's, really? I haven't heard that, I will start looking into a different set. Thanks for the info on that!

I ran the 3" version of that on my 62mm powered 1G (541hp@DB, 628hp@MAP). You'd obviouslly need a 2g varient. Like Aaron said, I chose it for it's balance of cooling performance and airflow through it to help the radiator still breath. Loved it and would but one again.
That VRSF one looks nice though too, and at a really nice price.

Re: Front Mount Suggestions
I love my VRSF..Only thing negative I have to say about it is the upper IC pipe BOV flange and how it screws on, can point the BOV in a weird direction once you get it tight.

Just get the biggest one you feel comfortable buying, better to have too much intercooler than not enough.

Re: Front Mount Suggestions
Vrsf is the shiznit IMO ets cost too much for what you get. I've made pull after pull with a 35r@30psi and never see temp change.

Re: Front Mount Suggestions
Alright, so for the few guys who said vrsf, was looking at videos and pictures of them installed in 2g's, is a custom intake needed? because the way it looks is that th pipe runs right where the intake pipe would go. Correct me if I'm wrong lol
