WTB: 2.4 timing belt

Crap, just realized BP Mitsu screwed up and gave me the wrong belt, I want to button this thing up and put the engine in tomorrow. Anybody have a new Mitsu one laying around I can buy? I'd rather do that than modify the tensioner to use the 2.0 belt. LMK.

The belt is a T256 Gates belt... You can pick one up from OReillys for less than $50.

For what its worth, Gates makes all the oem belts (they just put Mitsus name on it) so it is the same marerial and quality as an OEM Mitsu belt.

NAPA sells Gate's products as well. Best case would be to go to NAPA. More often times than not they are cheaper anyways. Ask me how I know. lol

In Winona the belt is $52.01 at NAPA and $45.17 at OReillys. Either way, in the Cities, OReilly's can have it the same day as long as it is in the DC.

I hope this is not according to NAPAonline because the site usually does not reflect actual prices. If you go to any NAPA location they can have it next day. They may even have it.

Re: WTB: 2.4 timing belt

I decided to just put the engine in as is and I can bring back the belt to Mitsu to exchange tomorrow. I can't let this hold me up as Mo's cousin is waiting to use his hoist after me.

Actually, after I told him you have it, I think he is borrowing one from one of his friends. So no rush.

No, we're headed up north next weekend instead. I'm planning on bringing it to the Cookout though, Curt's been on my case relentlessly to get it done.
