Re: 1994 Talon TSi AWD (Highly Modded) $6,900 obo

Reason I am parting it:

Well, Friday night when I attempted to pick it up, I thought I had fried the transfer case. I had it towed back to Primo because that was my only option at 11:30 Friday night. Today they looked into it, I had already sourced a new transfer case over the weekend, I figured bingo bango put in new t-case, and be done. WRONG. It ended up being the transmission. Mike pulled the drain plug and very little fluid came out.

It developed a leak somewhere while I was doing vacuum pulls on the way back, it still shifted just fine, but it started to howl leading me to think it was the transfer case. I pulled over into a gas station as soon as I heard the noise, and by that time apparently the fluid was almost all gone. Mike said when he pulled the drain plug, it had a burnt smell and there was a thin coating of fluid all over the bottom of the car. Makes me wish I would have picked it up in the daylight so I could have possibly seen this, Primo is currently trying to figure out where exactly it leaked from to see where I should go from here as far as the warranty from TRE. Once we know where/what it leaking from, I will contact TRE and go from there.
Either way, I'm done with DSM's.

Re: Goodhart's Performance Part-out!

dibs on the coil pack relocation bracket, and i'll probably want a few other things.

that throttle body is brand new? Does it have a new ISC? If so, i'm likely to take it.

Re: Goodhart's Performance Part-out!

Can i get some pics of the FMIC and the piping, if the car is at primo I'll be in that area tomorrow.
Price me on those 2 items they seem awfully high compared to the rest of the deals, I know you just paid new for them too.

Good luck.

Yep, brand new from ThrottleBodies.com. Was pressure tested with no leaks just last week. Not sure on the ISC, but I know it works.

FMIC is Swifty's old one if you remember what that looks like. Car will be at Primo till I can pick it up/get down there to tear it all apart. You can check all the parts out tomorrow if you want.

If you buy 3 or more items I can cut you a small deal.

Re: Goodhart's Performance Part-out!

Edited some. I decided to keep the valvesprings and retainers for the Evo, so the engine will be getting taken in half. Prices adjusted.

i dont think that is the right website... it looks european. What is the advantage of running a non turbo throttle body?

Sorry, just realized the site's name is spelled goofy, and not in plural form.

http://www.throttlebodys.com/

Advantages? No need for a throttle body elbow if you just use a 45* coupler, and there is one less potential boost leak. If I'm not mistaken they are a hair larger also. You probably won't find any HP from switching to one, but for me it was worth it just to have one less spot for a boost leak to form.

Re: Goodhart's Performance Part-out!

Ok everyone, here is the deal. The car is still sitting at Primo because I haven't had a chance to grab it and drag it back to my parent's house yet. As soon as I get it back, I can start taking parts off. Soon as I get it back, I will keep those interested in parts informed as I start tearing it apart.

Bump. Still haven't gotten to tear it apart yet, but I have been removing parts by request. Don't be afraid to make offers!
