It would be cheaper to buy a motor already built then to build a new one. Also I wouldnt cheap out now because you WILL end up going back and doing it again which will be more $ in the end.

That is very true. And thats the last thing i wanna do is cheap out on this build. I want it to be somewhat reliable. But I am not gonna rush this build. I dont plan on having it running till next spring. So that gives me alot of time. So....How much would be asking for your motor anyway. lol.
