Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Sunday, August 24th, 2008
Hey everyone,
We are almost there! August 23-24 is right around the corner. I've updated the sign up list. We have 140 signed up now:
http://www.mn3s.org/cookout-list.html
Links to the maps for both DB Performance and the school are on the main Cookout page, but I made a map of Rogers, with the key locations marked:
http://mn3s.org/cookout-map2008.jpg
And here is a close up of the Rogers Middle School and how the cars will be arranged at the Cookout. Its the same as last year:
http://mn3s.org/school2008.jpg
I've also put in the order for t-shirts. I'm ordering 90 of them. You can do the math to figure out that we'll run out. If you want to reserve your shirt, you need to pre-pay. Send me a paypal with your Cookout payment and your t-shirt payment and save yourself the agony of not getting a shirt.
And, of course, its not to late to sign up. The sign-up page is at:
http://mn3s.org/lists/?p=subscribe&id=5
The All Mitsu Cookout is one of the largest Mitsubishi events in the country. Don't miss out.
later,
Curt

Well, it's getting closer but the weather ain't looking so good. Past 2 years I've been there the weather was just perfect, let's hope that weather pattern continues.

It was nice but it was windy.. I remember a guys carbon fiber hood blowing up and then it slammed down. No damage done though.

There are no stations in Rogers with E85. One in Elk River and a couple in Plymouth: http://e85vehicles.com/e85-minnesota.htm
And its waaaay to early to be looking at the weather. They barely have a clue what the weather is going to be like in two days. The entire All Mitsu Weekend is a rain or shine event. So bite down and take it.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Sunday, August 24th, 2008
Hey everyone,
I've got the trophies done. Here is a pic:
Only a week left now. I made a few updates to the schedule at: http://mn3s.org/cookout-schedule.html On Friday night, the 22nd, we'll be having dinner at Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant in Rogers at 7pm. If you are coming to this, let me know so I can give them an accurate reservation count.
During the Dyno Challenge on Saturday, we'll have pop, water, and pizza available. Pop and water will be 50 cents. Pizza (Dominos) will be $2 a slice. You also might want to bring a lawn chair or two for hanging out for the day. We can still handle a few more cars on the dyno. Send me an e-mail if you want to dyno. Its only $60 for three runs. We'll be leaving DB Performance at 5pm on Saturday, the 23rd, for Wagners Drive-In for some supper. Bring an FRS radio, if you have one, for the cruise on Saturday.
Of course, Sunday, the 24th, is the All Mitsu Cookout. Here is a good check list:
1) Sign up if you haven't already, its easy, just go to:
http://mn3s.org/lists/?p=subscribe&id=5
2) Prepay your $5 by sending me a paypal to cgendron@mail.com
3) Fill out your car sign. Download the sign and fill it out:
http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign.doc
My example sign is at:
http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign-curt.doc
4) Pack up your sunscreen, lawn chairs and your appetite. Its gonna be a fun Mitsu weekend.
later,
Curt

Curt, so on that list, is that the order that we are dynoing? First one's up at 10? Or can we pick a time?

We'll start with AWD cars first, then FWD. So if you want to pick a spot, you can.

I guess I'd like to get up on there right at about noon if you have a noon slot open.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Sunday, August 24th, 2008
I probably won't make an exact list until the actual dyno day. So just find me when you get there and I'll pencil you in for around noon.

Curt

Curt, as of right now you can pull me off the Dyno list, as well as the Cookout list. God has struck me down yet again.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Sunday, August 24th, 2008
Hey everyone,
The All Mitsu Weekend is only a few days away now. I've updated the sign up page. We have 153 signed up:
http://www.mn3s.org/cookout-list.html
I'd also like to thank our main sponsor, Brookdale Mitsubishi, for coming through once again and being our main sponsor. Also, DB Performance is a new sponsor this year. Thanks to them for supporting. Also, I think I forgot to mention that Corporate Mitsubishi sent some good prizes again this year.
You still have time to sign up for the Cookout and send me your $5 via Paypal. After that, get your car sign downloaded and fill it out. If you are coming to the Dyno Challenge on Saturday, you can get your car registered for the Cookout on Sunday. Just come up to the tent. This will cut down on the lines for Sunday.
Thanks,
Curt

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- Sunday, August 24th, 2008
Hopefully I'll have my car back for this...
I got lazy again, and had my car in to Luther Mitsu for the clutch hydraulics, wheel bearing, both major recalls (t-case and ball joints), and a wash. Though it's highly unlikely that I'd have everything done by the Sunday if I did it myself.
Such is the way of the noob.

Yep, after updating the list, we only have 15 people signed up to dyno. We can probably handle at least five more. Do you want to be added to the list Mike?
