Just go to a hardware store with the mbc and get one that fits. It is probly a standard size like a 1/4-20 or something. I would get a thumbscrew or a nob head so it is easier to adjust. They are not anything special.

This is 92tsiawd84 under ghettostyle's name.

How did the screw fall out? There is a nut on there to tighten against the body of the MBC to make sure that doesn't happen so you will need a nut, too. You need to make sure you didn't lose the ball and spring inside there, also.

(BTW, it was me that answered the phone at QPR when you called, Mike wasn't nearby... Sorry to confuse you. )

Yes. That screw presses on a spring which presses on the ball. The ball seals off the boost from reaching the wastegate solenoid, which in turn gives you higher boost. You can just bypass the MBC and hook those two lines together so you can drive the car until you get the MBC fixed.

You might as well go buy a complete new MBC rather than finding a spring you hope will work.

Go to a hardware store and buy a spring. Look for one about the size they talk about on vfaq in making your own mbc. There is not that much too them.

In XBC boost controllers the spring can fall out??? It cannot in my hallman. Only does in the homemade ones I have.

I meant I have a complete MBC that he can buy from me. I have 2 of them so selling one is not a problem. I switched to an electronic boost controller so I don't need my MBC. Be careful what spring you get if you just get one from a hardware store. They have different spring rates that could render them useless. Buy one from Elite or buy mine. Then you'll have your old laying around for spare parts or an attractive wall hanging.
