Re: MAP Event @ BIR: Results!
Lost to a 10.5 second MAP DSM on first round of elimination lol but did get my best run of the weekend was
60' 1.657
330 4.722
1/8 7.247
MPH 99.17
1000 9.348
1/4 11.107
MPH 127.87

Re: MAP Event @ BIR: Results!
My best:
60' = 1.654
330 = 4.762
1/8 = 7.349 @ 96.46
1000' = 9.544
1/4 = 11.409 @ 120.07 MPH
That time is possibly the record for the 13T's. 93 octane pump gas.

Nope, actaully made a 350 mile trip with no problems. Made 4 trips down the strip, none worth talking about. Disappointed that I didn't get to see the fdsm in action. Went up against it and something was up, cause I won. I don't care though, a wins a win..lol

Re: MAP Event @ BIR: Results!
I had a fun time, 1st run of the day, and for me, Best time was an 11.48@127.5 mph. Couldn't get faster
I was happy the car made it up there, 10 passes, and home, without any trouble.
Then I raped a Ferrari 360 Modena on the highway! ...what a way to end the day
Oh and there were a ton of quick/fast DSMs, and lots of really decent cars out. I say ban extremely loud 12A rotary cars from competition, as they constantly break and nearly hit the wall and another car at the same time.

I should have, didn't think about it. This one is a bit faster and will hopefully hit the track (road race) and strip soon. Just bought some sticky tires Will probably post a pic in a new thread soon. Car was just too good of a deal to pass up.

I wish I could have seen more passes from the Supra! That thing pulled a wheelie and pogo'd halfway down the track.

Re: MAP Event @ BIR: Results!
Who was the asshat in the rust brown colored small old car? Was it a Toyota? He couldn't keep that thing going in a straight line and nearly took out a turbo'd Civic!
I'm also really surprised none of the drifters or autocrossers put their car into a concrete barricade yesterday! The Grimspeed drift Genesis coupe came REALLY close at one point.

Congrats. Would have though some would be able to go faster (if gutted) but they are still heavy cars regardless.

The Puerto Ricans.... They always show up with slow, loud, 12A carb'd rotary powered old small RWD jap cars. Datsuns, Toyotas.
That BoostWerx Ford Probe was the first wheelie of the day, and as Kracka said seeing the Supra pogo down the track was cool!
It was awesome seeing Kiggly's car.

Saw Kiggly right after his last pass, he was kinda laughing about looking at the bottom of the Supra.
So why did it seem like there were alot of cars doing time trials and not so many for eliminations? Everyone broke down?

I was wondering about that also, it seemed like a lot of the AWD 1Gs disappeared when it came to eliminations.
Those damn short wheelbase rotaries are always going out of control. It's even worse when they turbo them and put some huge slicks on them. Then they bounce out of control on the line and then lose control halftrack.
Jim was Mr. Consistancy, Brad got lucky and just powered past him to win. Jim could have won a bracket class running 11.1s and getting the hole shot on everyone.
Brad went from running 12s and traps in the 120s at the start of Friday to high 10s and 140mph in the final. Amazingly it held together, besides the downpipe dragging on the ground when he pulled into the winner's circle.

Here is Kiggly looking at the bottom of the Supra. That supra was insane but seeing Kiggly's car was the highlight of the day.

I didn't run for the fact that I didn't feel like breaking anything for the ride home. Was a bit worried about my clutch dying on the track. Plus it was my first time out and was just out to do a couple time trials and hangout.

Re: MAP Event @ BIR: Results!
I can't believe the poor turnout; I'd be amazed if this event happens next year, but I sure hope it does. The autocross seemed to be really good, but the drags were. . .
It seemed like most of the runs were like time trials or something.
I wish I would've brought my car to run down the 1/4 for the first time ever, but I thought there would be tons of cars there.
What happened to MAP's car anyways? When I saw it the alternator was sitting on the ground next to the car. I was really looking forward to seeing it run. Kyle should've ran his 1g as well, that would've been nice to see run.
