FS: Evo IX GSR

2006 Mitsubishi Evolution IX
JA3AH86C26U051450
Apex Silver
92,XXX Miles
Asking $19,000

Time to sell my Evo.... With kids and lots of work I don't have the time to devote to the Evo anymore. She's sat nearly un-used in my garage since July of last year. This car needs a new owner who'll take good care of her and hopefully take her to the next level. She's just waiting for a bigger turbo and porting...

The good:
She's spent almost all of her life garaged. Scheides and Kracka can attest to the fact that I don't beat on her. I've had oil analysis done by Blackstone and have changed the oil according to their recommendations using Mobil 1 and factory filters. The driveline fluids have been changed every 30K miles. She was my daily driver since 2008 and I've never had a problem. The car has been tuned by DB Performance in Rogers, MN and made 315 whp and 315 wtq on their dyno dynamics dyno.

The bad:
She's due for a 60K service. This was done around 30,000 miles due to a strange noise coming from the timing belt area. This was a warranty replacement and no noises have come from that area since. Also, the Prosport EGT and Oil Pressure gauge don't work. If I were to keep the car I'd replace these. Aside from normal wear-and-tear from driving every day the only real blemish on the car is a 0.25x1.5 inch spot where the clear coat seems to be missing. It's weird and I never pursued it with the dealer while under warranty.

Engine/Turbo/Drive train modifications:
Amsoil Air Filter
Samco intake pipe
Nisei lower and upper intercooler piping
Perrin silver intercooler
Kelford 272 cams
Buschur coated and ported exhaust manifold
Buschur coated O2 housing
Unknown turbo-back exhaust; 3" mandrel bent with Megan resonated test pipe
Beatrush rear differential bushing inserts
AMS small battery kit
Newly rebuilt and replaced ACD pump (Comes with 2-year warranty from ACD Tuning)
Short shifter
Shifter base bushings
Under hood shifter bushing (the brass ones, I forget the manufacturer name)
21.5 mpg measured over 4 years of gas fill-ups on 90% BP 93 octane or better

Suspension and Brake modifications:
MR BBS rims with Sumitomo HTR Z III tyres (9/32 tread left...less than 1,000 miles)
Stock GSR rims with Cooper winter tyres (9/32 tread left....less than 1,000 miles)
Carbing 6-pt lower arm bar
Swift Sport lowering springs on stock shocks
Whiteline rear sway bar
Racing Brake ET300 pads (F/R)

Electronics:
Pioneer head unit (DEH-P7100BT; 2 USB ports, iPod/iPhone compatible, Bluetooth with hands-free phone)
Evo X map sensor
Tephra v5.10
Evoscan (will transfer my license to your email)
Limitless v1.3 cable

Misc:
Beatrush aluminum under panel
STM polished radiator brackets
Binary seat lower bracket (drivers side only)

Parts included that haven't been installed:
Beatrush prop shaft bushings
Whiteline rear bumpsteer kit
STM clutch line (full, master to slave)
I have some IX ECU pins

How I arrived at the price:
Looking at the market it seems dealership Evo's with similar mileage are ranging from $17,000 (salvage title) to a little over $20,000. It's hard to find similar cars on EvolutionM.net but the market seems to swing from the low to mid $20,000 range all the way down to $15,000 for beat-on cars and salvage titles. I started at $20,000 and took off $1,000 because it needs a 60K service done and another $500 or so because I've driven the car 92,000 miles and it's almost impossible to keep the car in mint. Add in some extra value for the 2-sets of nearly new tires and I think that $19,000 is a reasonable starting price. These prices are in-line with Kelly Blue Book

If you're interested, please contact me via PM. Include your email and phone number and we can start the process. I can travel all over the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area to meet up. If you're out of town and want to come in to see it, great. If you'd like to ship the car the details are on you. I do not owe anything on the car and the title is free-and-clear.

Jesus... $19k Zac? I'd snap this up in a heartbeat...

Regardless, good luck with the sale, I'm sure it will come very quickly at that price. Sad to see you get out of the game but if you don't have time for it, you gotta let go.

Thanks, Spaz-dude!

I think $19K is a fair price, a good deal for both sides.

Don't worry, though...I can't last long without something fun. I'll have to see how the market for GT-R's looks in a couple of years...
