Re: Another C6

I'm trying to decide if I want to lower it at all, it already scrapes a bit on my driveway.

As long as its only the rubber, that's designed to hit and flex.

Re: Another C6

I dropped mine about an inch I'd say, but there was room to go further, maybe 1.5-2 max.

Re: Another C6

C7's have about an inch of adjustment; .5 up or down from factory height.

Wow, that's more than I thought. I think I'll do about an inch tomorrow as well.

Thanks.

Re: Another C6

I do remember it being pretty high to start with though, so who knows if it was at factory height to start with. Regardless, there is a lot of adjustment. You can always shave the pad a bit too for a little more drop.

Re: Another C6

Well, I chickened out and didn't lower it. Brought it to Jeff and had it aligned so it drives nice and straight. Bah, I'm old and it's low enough already.

Also got around to working on the stereo a bit. It's a non-Bose system with an aftermarket bluetooth deck. The factory 10" door woofers really blew so I replaced them with some nice 6.5" Alpine components. Got some bass back but still needs a sub. I'll get around to that shortly.

I second this. It's the only way to go imo.

Re: Another C6

I need something that fits with the top in the back and I don't mind doing fiberglass work so I'll end up building a custom box for it.

Re: Another C6

Ha, been enjoying the hell out of this thing, I take it every time I don't have to haul family around.

Got to Rock Falls last weekend and got some runs in. Definitely not what I expected running a best of 12.8@113mph, but unlike the old days, didn't have to do a thing to it but hot lap over and over. The temp was 92 degrees so I'm pretty sure it was pulling some timing, but a few mods to the air inlet shroud should add some missing HP. Sure was nice cruising back with the AC on.

Re: Another C6

More time running/having fun and then add AC, sound perfect to me.

Time to hit up some racing with turns now!

Re: Another C6

True, need to find a time up at BIR when it's not a bunch of kids drifting. I need to get in the local Vette scene, I've seen at least five just in my area, including a new ZO6 that got sideways right in front of me the other day.

^Try some auto-x and events at DCTC. I loved the DCTC stuff, local and usually at a great price.

Pretty much every event that isn't pg or powercruise then. The average age is about cut in half at those events.

There really is no Vette scene that I know of haha. Just the dealerships do some vette days, all filled with older people.

Re: Another C6

Yeah, I looked up a couple local Vette clubs and their pics are all of people WAY older than me. Hmm, no thanks.
