Re: fuse box relocation

Take your time and write stuff down. The way I did it is I actually disconnected some of the wires from plugs and stuff so I had to write down exactly where they went. If you have to extend of cut wires sorted Solder all connections and use heatshrink. I also bought blue electrical tape and taped the blue around my solders so If something went wrong I would know exactly where I messed with stuff.

Re: fuse box relocation

BUT if you dont care about making your engine bay that clean and hiding wires/get rid of wires then you can just extend all the wires into the car. I have an extra fuse box harness here(couple wires are missing but not a ton)

Re: fuse box relocation

Why the hell would you do that?
I have a 2g dsm box in my stealth, but I only did it to make room for my turbo setup/save weight, huge PITA and not recommended for noobs.

Re: fuse box relocation

^haha.
Blageo's underhood looks really good and i think cause he has taken time to hide the wires as much as he can.
He really helped that he parked next to that ricey 2G that had every extra known to man.
Swanny what is your sig about? i don't get it.

Re: fuse box relocation

Because the fuse box is so damn ugly. I would have to agree that its not for noobs or the weak. I took me my whole spring break(maybe 8 hrs a day for 5-6 days) to get the rewire done. I took my sweet ass time and did other things too tho.

Re: fuse box relocation

^i see.
Rewire is definitely not for the faint of heart, but it sweet for me to laugh at people that try.
I can honestly say that its worth your hard work, it looks so cool.
I liked it your 2G and i liked it on swanny's car, but he had other things on there so i dont think i really noticed until i thought about it.

Not that bad.
I didn't have any issues with mine, and I stripped easily 30lbs of wiring out. Deleted everything on the car I don't need.

I'll have to see your install sometime, I appreciate extensive wiring re-work after my car so much more, lol.
I took a different approach with Johns galant, just start over pretty much, haha.

Re: fuse box relocation

Yah I swear that would be so much easier to just start over with like a universal harness or something.
