Re: Ricks-TURBO TALON

been quiet a few things done to the car that i haven't posted.

Upgraded to v3 ecm link and got rid of the black box setup that was causing issues.

20g td05 turbo that i got a good deal on.

switched up my Venting system. Welded 90s off the valve cover.

gutted the interior and cut out spare tire wheel and mounted battery back there

Thats all that i have got done i was working on getting it tuned and i love the feeling of the 20g. I then blew a break line, and it is now parked for winter upgrades.

I will be switching to e85, along with speed density.

Doing my head gasket, and upgrading my head. Hopefully gonna do a wire tuck and delete power steering along with relocating my alternator. Once i get some money built up i will be ordering the parts in.

Re: Ricks-TURBO TALON

Blew my motor up this spring.

Just got the motor back, stuck with the 7 bolt block .02 over. Running 1g rods on evo 9 pistons. Since I'm at school in fargo and can't make it home to often to work on it. I had the machinist assemble the lower end. He installed one of the pistons backwards which kind of scares me (pictured). Ordered some knew arp head studs, gates timing kit, Balance shaft delete kit and gonna order the ACL/Orbit oil pump. And go from there. This is my first time doing an engine overhaul so don't know what imma all need. Especially when I'm 3 hours away its hard to know what I'm going to all need.

Since I'm broke as hell at this point with school and the money i have put into this. I don't have the funds to do anything to my head like i wanted to, or switching to speed density and e85 are out of the picture right now. I might just do some gasket matching, replace the valve seals and clean it up.

Before school started i did get into a wire tuck and painted the bay, also did a abs delete, and AN lines from the tank to rail. Don't really have any good pictures tho.

just scheduled a dyno day in August 10th right before a test and tune in fargo. Found a shop called SRD that has an awd dyno. They dont do anything with 4g63t motors but seen alot of subies there. Any way i will continue to tune myself currently on e85 at 25ish pounds of boost. No idea what power she is making. I do whoop on my buddy who has a subie on a fp68hta on e85 who said he was around 330awhp. But we will find out.

This weekend i will be getting rid of a pesky boost leak i have been chasing and adding a remote IAC so it will maybe idle when its cold. Also plan on lowering her more. E85 is new to me but so far i love it cant wait to turn it up more. Few pics did paint some panels so its all one color.

Ill try to keep this updated, im always constantly working on things.
